Why does a pocketed bra look so big?

A pocketed bra must cover and/support an entire breast prosthesis. Therefore making the appearance of the cup seem larger. It is simply covering the entire form and/breast.

Am I a candidate for a Custom Breast Prosthesis?

A Custom Breast Prosthesis is for anyone following a breast surgery, and that has completed radiation. The time frame for beginning the scan process is at least 6 months after either or both of these procedures have been completed.

Can I wear my regular bras?

If you have an attachable breast prosthesis(es) or custom-made prosthesis(es) then yes you may wear your own bras. It is not recommended that you wear off-the-shelf prosthesis(es) without a pocketed bra for risk of the form falling out and being lost or damaged.

When can I get fit for an external breast prosthesis?

Recommendation for your first fitting following surgery is a minimum of 3-6 weeks. This allows the body time to heal, sensitivity to minimize, swelling to dissipate and sutures to dissolve. For some it may take a little longer.

How does my wig stay on?

There are many ways to secure your wig. Most important is checking the proper fitting around the perimeter as well as the cap itself. There are also wig caps, silicone, hair grippers, hair clips and double sided tape (depending on the wig/hair piece and current hair situation).
